It begins...Munich airport layover..4 hours late

The one way rental car from SMF to SFO was a simple,  affordable and hassle free transportation alternative.  However,  an unplanned baggage issue throughout the entire SFO International Terminal required old fashioned one by one, manual baggage checks ... needless to say,  a 2 hour delay resulted in a planned arrival in Turin 4 hours later. Thankfully,  we were automatically rebooked and reseated by Lufthansa. Paying a bit for the bulkhead with infinite legroom was a winning strategy. And the sunset and sunrise photo ops were spectacular.

Spending time in the Munich Airport does have its benefits... thankfully, I  chose wisely,  for once....I bought the small one..

Alas,  packing and last room views... Good departure timing as Mont Blanc is overcast!  Views still spectacular even with clouds... You all know this feeling.. ciao bella!  Always time for one more gelato! 492 Reaches Great Heights!

With almost perfect weather,  we knew today would be special with a gondola ride up to Mont Blanc.  49 euros per person ain't nothin as they say, but on the anniversary... nuf said! More oxygen please!  There were 2 stopping points,  a champagne production facility,  playgrounds,  herb gardens, hammocks,  giant telescopes, great restaurants and of course,  killer views. Mont Blanc Why Not!  Everybody's taking photos for everybody!  Nick Colonna's next climb? (There were people at the top)  Toast to a great start of 492! When we returned to our country estate,  it was time to relax! Great foot of the mountain location!  Lovely indoor/outdoor pool with mountain views!  I think she's relaxing!  Not sure everyone here enjoys the beautiful sunshine? What would your caption be?
