July 4th Celebratory (and final) Dinner!
Our last dinner was a special gift from God as the weather was beautiful, the joy of getting the outdoor power table was ideal and the food was superb! We drank the last bottle of purchased wine from Valpolicella, a Testal, which was sublime! Recounting the places we've been, the sights and hikes we've had and the glory of God that we've shared with others... It's been a truly memorable vacation! Tomorrow we fly home, which is always awesome!
As I'm writing this last entry for the evening, the church bell chimes ten times, Peggy's enjoying/ministering to a single woman in the dining room and all is ready to be packed for our 2pm Turin to Frankfurt... Frankfurt to San Francisco Lufthansa flight. Happy 4th everyone!

What a great trip! You were right...it was well planned! So many great places, each of them worthy of a single trip...and you had them all in one. Way to go!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the great gift from God was that exceptional last dinner! Not pictured was the fabulous dessert of a pistachio creme brulee!
ReplyDeleteI always chose the daily menu for dinner.... always a surprise and delicious.... while Gary usually went for something off the main menu. We got our room with the demi-pensione which included our breakfast and dinner. It was a perfect choice as the food each night was nicely done! And the room and facilities were exceptional, rating from this frequent traveler a "must return" !
