Peggy and I were excited to bring Jon and Ann here to enjoy a televised gourmet chef.

Sharing bubbly on our deck at Hisa Franko!
Little did we imagine that the last 3 nights of amazingness .... made eating a huge meal almost impossible for our African Missionary dear friends. They enjoyed the room, view and pitter patter of the rain, while Peggy and I toughed it out. Not sure how we accomplished the task, but guts and determination pulled us through... again!

Me kinda excited!
Joy from their garden...
The 6+ courses with wine pairing.
Peggy's octopus which I traded out...
Beef 3 ways.. including cheek.

Delicious dessert, making it all amazing!
So which beef was the cheek ? And what was the desert ? All looks amazing . . . but you missed out on the octopus ? Would have been chewy!! :)
ReplyDeletePictured is Gary's menu; mine had beef tongue umami and the octopus cooked in lamb fat, with lamb fat polenta and smoked yogurt. They were both fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAlthough eating here was again magical, and the room very nice, breakfast one of the best, we decided a return visit will not happen (most likely). Turned out to be a VERY expensive side trip!
