Hiking Day... just a small one...
Delicious breakfast and beautiful drive for an hour through the hills of Valpolicella (Val:the valley of... Poli:many... Cella:wine cellars).
Then it was time to take a walk straight up through the vines. Arduous for me, but doable, and worth every step due to the sheer beauty of walking under the hanging grape vines.
3 and a half miles later, we found a small lunch spot that only took cash. Good thing I had the 20 euros Jon gave me, which entitled us to water, wine, bread, a shared plate of meats and vegetables and a chance to chat with other English speaking folks when they also found out it was cash only.
