An Afternoon on and in Lake Como

Jon and Ann knew the best option for this afternoon was to rent a boat for 2 hours and enjoy the lake... up close and personal.  What a great idea!
Just call me Cap'n Jon!

Captain Jon masterfully steered us past our b and b, directly to our favorite gelato dock.

Then we enjoyed the Star Wars mansion (for Kevin and CJ).

Arriving a bit later at the James Bond house where Ann decided it was time for a dip. No photo of the dip, just the house...
Perfect place for a dip nonetheless! 

We negotiated our way back to the rental dock and celebrated terra firma with an Aperol Spritz!
The Italians got this Spritz thing right! 

Returning by car to our b and b, we decided to take another dip in the lake... and at 103 degrees,  this too was a brilliant move. A great afternoon was had by all!
Ann was the first brave one! 

I had to wear my flip flops... but if you needed a beer opened,  I'm your guy!

    Jon Heinrich at the helm was brilliant! A captain among captains! 103° only if you were standing in the sun with no breeze.... which of course was not an issue! Splendiferous! Is that a word?

Alas,  packing and last room views... Good departure timing as Mont Blanc is overcast!  Views still spectacular even with clouds... You all know this feeling.. ciao bella!  Always time for one more gelato! Grom Rules!  And as we finish the 24 hours of travel logistics,  which many of you are overly familiar with..arriving safely home at 10:30 pm, we were treated with a spectacular view ... 492 Reaches Great Heights!

With almost perfect weather,  we knew today would be special with a gondola ride up to Mont Blanc.  49 euros per person ain't nothin as they say, but on the anniversary... nuf said! More oxygen please!  There were 2 stopping points,  a champagne production facility,  playgrounds,  herb gardens, hammocks,  giant telescopes, great restaurants and of course,  killer views. Mont Blanc Why Not!  Everybody's taking photos for everybody!  Nick Colonna's next climb? (There were people at the top)  Toast to a great start of 492! When we returned to our country estate,  it was time to relax! Great foot of the mountain location!  Lovely indoor/outdoor pool with mountain views!  I think she's relaxing!  Not sure everyone here enjoys the beautiful sunshine? What would your caption be?
