Departing the Bella Baita is always challenging ; the place is beautiful and restful, the food is out of this world, but mostly, Marla and Fabrizio are dear, dear people... they are unique and uniquely enjoyable in every way.
Marla's friends from southern Illinois, arrived yesterday.. and did we have some great conversations... we'd like to call them our new friends!

Avoiding highways, we arrived in La Morra for a spectacular outdoor patio meal... Maybe some barbaresco and nebbiolo beverage was needed to complete the vitello tonnato and tajarin with meat ragu sauce light lunch.
